Never Too Much
Can you have too much of a good thing? Of course you can. But, part of loving and taking care of yourself is making sure you have the things you need when you need them. There are some things you simply don’t want to run out of and have to go without. That’s why I’ve created this list of six things you can never have too much of.
Words
Good communication skills are essential to a life with minimal stress and conflict. Improving your vocabulary is one easy way to work on that skill set. The best part is that learning new words is free! Grab your dictionary and stock up as often as you can. Don’t be that person who gets caught muttering incoherently because you don’t know the right words for what you want to say.
Toilet Paper
Don’t wait until the supply runs low. See a sale on your favorite brand? Go ahead and get it now. I don’t need to tell you how bad your situation is if you run out, so don’t let that happen. Seriously, if your supply is currently low, stop what you’re doing and go to the store. Right now. I promise I’ll wait.
Friends
Now that you have your toilet paper situation taken care of, let’s talk about friends. Human contact is important for your mental health. That’s why you need more friends. I’m not saying you should have 50 BFFs. I would be concerned if you did. But you should know plenty of people with whom you share some common interests. When you need advice, have news to share (good or bad), or just want someone to hang out with, you’ll have more luck finding the right companion if you have more friends to choose from.
Soap (All kinds of soap)
You wash yourself. You wash things. It’s all about sanitation. You wash because things look better clean. Maybe you wash because you have a touch of OCD. Whatever you wash or why you wash it, cleaning is a part of your life. For that you need soap. Some cleaning is relaxing and enjoyable. Some is a chore. Nothing kills your calm peaceful feeling or makes a chore more of a chore than having to stop in the middle and restock supplies. You need dish soap, laundry soap, body wash, bar soap, and soap for your household surfaces. Whatever your soap needs are, make sure you have plenty on hand. Then get more because plenty becomes less than plenty very fast. Believe me. Then go get more soap.
Panties
Yes I said it. You can never have too many pairs of panties. Have you ever done laundry because you were wearing your last (or close to last) clean pair of undies? Then you don’t have enough. Are you holding on to a pair that is past it’s prime just in case you need them? You need to plan a shopping trip quickly. Hopefully, you won’t have an accident. But if you do, do you really want to be the one in the ragged undies making the nurses all laugh? I don’t think so. Don’t be that person. Get more panties. Or boxers, or whatever makes you comfortable.
Storage
So now you have all this stuff because you can never have too much of it. You need some place to put it. That’s why you can never have too much storage. Having plenty of stuff is no good if you trip over it every time you walk through your home. Organize your closets and cabinets. Get creative with your shelving. Empty space can easily become storage with a little innovation.
You probably have your own ideas about what to add to this list. Personalize it based on your lifestyle and needs. And check back soon for my list of things you don’t want too much of.
